Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Distillery, an AI study workspace operated by Mattr Deskware Ltd, trading as Distillery (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Distillery.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us the limited licence needed to store your content and process it through our AI providers to deliver the service. You must have the right to upload what you upload — don’t submit material that infringes copyright or contains other people’s personal data without permission.

Acceptable use

• Distillery is a learning tool. You are responsible for how you use its output — including complying with your school’s or institution’s academic-integrity policies. Do not use the service to misrepresent AI-generated work where doing so is prohibited.
• Do not attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service, or circumvent plan limits.
• Do not use the service for unlawful purposes or to generate harmful content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

AI output

Distillery’s answers, flashcards, quizzes, AI-writing checks, and other output are generated by AI and can be wrong. They are provided “as is”, without warranty of accuracy, and are not professional advice. Verify anything that matters.

Plans and billing

Free accounts have usage limits shown on the pricing page. Pro is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe; it renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the billing portal, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice.

Service changes and availability

We may change, add, or remove features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice, in which case we’ll give you an opportunity to export your content.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom.
